LASAM 2.0 Setup Instructions
•
Extend legs of tripod to approximately chest height of LASAM operator.
•
Set tripod in safe area with full viewing of landing sector
•
Level top of tripod using included level
•
Once level, attach tribrach with leveling bubble facing operator
•
Adjust tribrach until levelling bubble indicates level
•
Place LASAM unit into tribrach with white post closest to levelling bubble
•
Lock LASAM into tribrach with locking knob on side of tribrach
•
Attach triggering button and scope
•
Turn on LASAM unit using red rocker switch on backside of unit
•
Turn on Disto with red button on Disto unit, make sure battery indicator shows 3 bars
•
Change batteries if needed, then push Bluetooth button to connect Disto to LASAM
•
Follow instructions on LCD screen on front of LASAM unit
o
Set measuring units: 1 for metric, 2 for Imperial

Level laser using level indicator on Disto unit, when level click the trigger button
o
Place marking indicator in center of throwing circle
o
Aim laser at center of circle and click the trigger button
o
Move marking indicator to edge of circle and press trigger button

Screen should read 0.00
o
Mark 1 known point on each sector line, verifying with tape measure to ensure
proper setup.
o
Place marking flag in safe area outside of sector where it can easily be seen by
LASAM operator, but not likely to be hit by errant implement. Mark and note
the distance of the stationary marking flag. The LASAM operator should verify
this distance remains consistent between each flight of the competition.
o
If optional scoreboard unit is being used it can be turned on and the toggle
switch on the front of the LASAM flipped up to connect. Scoreboard should be
placed within 100

of LASAM unit with dome antenna of side of scoreboard
visible to LASAM operator.
