Congratulations and thank
you for selecting the MCE 58
reporter’s microphone. Please take some time to read carefully
through this product information before setting up the equipment.
Applications
The MCE 58 condenser
microphone has been specially
developed for interviewing and broadcasting. Its unbalanced output
supplies a very high level which allows direct connection to portable
DAT and MD-machines.
The elasticated suspension of the transducer element eliminates
unwanted handling noise and built-in active filters suppress unwan-
ted low frequency noise such as traffic rumble. The specially con-
structed grille helps suppress wind noise and popping but for out-
door use, an additional windshield is recommended.
The non-glare Nextel
™
surface is scratch-resistant and will withstand
the rough use often associated with news gathering events.
