Body fat protects organs, controls body temperature and contains vitamins and energy. It is not
unhealthy but excess body fat can cause health problems. The body fat percentage provides an
insight into a person’s physical condition.
The perfect body fat percentage (also known as adiposity) depends on age and gender.
