Fax Software Installation for Windows 98/ME/2000/XP
1 . Inser t the Modem Installation disc into your C D-ROM drive
and wait for the menu to appe ar.
NOTE: If auto-run is not enabled for your CD-ROM
drive you can double click the My Comp uter icon on
your desktop, dou ble click the icon representing your
CD- ROM dr ive, and double click the 5 6 U S B S L . E X E i c o n .
2 . From the installation menu click on the S u p e r v o i c e l i n k .
3 . The installer for Supervoice will appear. C o n f i r m the
insta llation path and c l i c k P ro c e e d.
4 . Fill in the fields providing your personal information. These
fields will be used later on fax cover pa ges when you are
sending a fax. The serial number is not required for
insta llation. please leave this field blank. C lick the proceed
button when you are finished completing the form.
5 . You will be informed that the installation requires files from
t h e Windows CD. Please inser t your Windows CD and click
O K .
NOTE: Some syste ms are shipped from the factor y with
windows pre -installed and ar e not provided with a Windows
CD. Plea se refer to your system documentation for the
location of these files if your system did not come with a
Windows C D.
6 . You will be informed that the PIC Fax Printer is added to
your system successfully. Click OK to continue.
7 . C l i c k O K to complete the installation.
Inter net Call Wa i t i n g
Your ISP must have support for V.92 connections and support
for Internet Call Waiting [ commonly ref erred to as MOH (modem
on hold)] installed in order to make use of the Inter net Ca ll
Wa iting feature of this m odem.
The I nterne t Call Waiting softwar e is built into the 56USBSL
modem drive r. When connected to the Internet you will see a
modem icon in the system tray (next to the clock). Click this icon
to ac cess the outgoing call f eature. When an incoming call is
received, you will be informed of the call with a dialog box that
appears. You will have the choice to either ta ke the incoming call
or ignore the incoming call. Each ISP sets the amount of time you
can spend on the call. Ple ase consult with your I SP to make sure
these features are supported with their service.
