DC voltage measurement
Maximum input voltage of DCV range is 600V DC. Do not attempt to take any voltage
measurement that exceeds 600V DC to avoid electrical shock and/or damage to the
instrument.
-
Set function switch to the V range.
-
Press AC/DC key to select DC function.
-
Connect the black and red test leads to the COM and V terminals respectively.
-
Connect the test leads to the circuit being measured and read the displayed value.
SC voltage measurement
Maximum input voltage of ACV range is 600V DC. Do not attempt to take any voltage
measurement that exceeds 600V RMS to avoid electrical shock and/or damage to
the instrument.
-
Set function switch to the V range.
-
Press AC/DC key to select AC function.
-
Connect the black and red test leads to the COM and VW terminals respectively.
-
Connect the test leads to the circuit being measured and read the displayed value.
Resistance Measurement
Before taking any in-circuit resistance measurement, remove power from the circuit
being tested and discharge all capacitors.
- Set the function switch to
Ω
range.
-
Connect the black and red test leads to the COM and VW terminals respectively.
-
Connect the test leads to the circuit being measured and read the displayed value.
Continuity measurement
Before taking any continuity measurement, remove power from the circuit being
tested and discharge all capacitors.
-
Set the function switch to
Ω
range.
-
Connect the black and red test leads to the COM and VW terminals respectively.
-
Connect the test leads to the circuit being measured.
-
When the test lead to the circuit is below 40
Ω
, it will be indicated by a continuous
beeping.
-
Note: Continuity test is available to check open/short of the circuit.
Using this appliance in an environment with a strong radiated radio-frequency
electromagnetic field (approximately 3V/m), may influence its measuring result can
be strongly deviating from the actual value.
