Preparing for installation

30

Pre-assembling the electrical

connection cable (air extraction and

recirculated air device)

DANGER

Fatal electric shock due to improperly
carried out electrical work.

¾

Only have work on the voltage
supply carried out by a qualified
specialist electrician under
consideration of the country-specific
regulations and standards (in
Germany e.g.
DIN 57100/VDE 0100, Part 701).

A permissible, approx. 0.5 m-long connection cable
is required for connecting the device to the
domestic mains.

The Wieland connector is not accessible following
installation. An all-pole isolating device (contact
opening greater than 3 mm) must be available.

¾

Only install the connection cable within the
prescribed position range.

¾

For the position (1) of the recirculated air device,
refer to the connection dimension drawing on
page 10.

¾

For the position (1) of the air extraction device,
refer to the connection dimension drawing on
page 13.

The following steps must only be carried out by a
specialist electrician:

¾

Make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to
the voltage specified on the extractor hood's
model plate.

¾

Shorten the connection cable to a length of 0.5 m.

During transportation, the Wieland socket is
connected to the Wieland connector in the extractor
hood.

¾

Remove the Wieland socket from the device.

¾

Connect the Wieland socket to the 0.5 m long
connection cable.

The connection cable is pre-assembled.
