Cleaning the filter (Fig. 5)
1. Withdraw the filter assembly (15). To do this hold the container firmly and pull it off the cover (17).
2. Take the filter assembly off the dust container. To take the two pieces of the assembly apart, turn
the cover clockwise to the UNLOCK position.
3. Shake the filter assembly (15) over a dustbin or use a small brush for a thorough cleaning.
4. If heavily soiled, wash the dust container and filters under running water with a mild detergent
(Fig. 6). NOTE: To ensure the unit works correctly, check that the foam filter (16) is completely clean.
Check that all of the parts are completely dry before fitting them back onto the container. Do not use
a hairdryer to dry the foam filter. Leave it to dry naturally for at least 12 hours.
5. Fit the foam motor protection filter into its housing and attach the two pieces for the assembly, turn
the cover anticlockwise to the LOCK position.
6. Insert the filter assembly into the dust container and push the filter inward so that it locks into the
container.
7. Fit the dust container back into the main body (1). To do this slot the base of the container into the
cleaner and push the top section in so that it fits firmly.
Cleaning the multi-purpose brush (Fig. 7)
1. Unscrew the brush lock screw (23) and remove the cover (24).
2. Take the brush (22) out of its housing.
3. Remove any dirt (hair and other fibers) tangled around the roller. If is it very tangled, it can be cut
off using scissors.
4. Wash the brush under running water with mild detergent. Make sure that it is completely dry
before refitting it.
5. Refit the multi-purpose brush. Replace the cover and fasten screw to secure it.
Cleaning the appliance
1. Clean the appliance before using it for the first time, immediately after each use, and after a long
period without use. This will ensure the correct operation of the appliance and prolong its useful life.
2. Make sure that no water enters the appliance.
3. Clean the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive products or solvents.
4. Regularly check that the wheels at the back of the unit are clean.
