Slip Compensation Operation
Slip refers to the variation between the set frequency (speed) and actual motor rotation speed.
During operation a set frequency, the slip will vary as the load changes. As the load increases, slip
will increase. Slip compensation is used for loads that require compensation of these speed
variations.

dr.09 Control Mode
Set dr.09 to 2 (Slip Compen) to operate in slip compensation mode.
dr.14 Motor Capacity
Set the capacity of the motor connected to the inverter.
bA.11 Pole Number
Enter the number of poles from the motor name plate.
bA.12 Rated Slip
Enter the
slip RPM’s
from the motor name plate. This may be shown
in Hz. If so, convert to RPM’s.
Slip frequency may also be calculated.

Enter the rated current from the motor name plate.
bA.14 Noload Curr
Enter the measured no-load current at the rated frequency. If no-load
current is difficult to measure, enter a current equivalent to 30

of the rated motor current.

Enter the efficiency from the motor rating place.
bA.17 Inertia Rate
Select load inertia based on motor inertia.
