Switching phone on/off, entering PIN
Switching the phone on
Open the slider to switch the phone on.
Enter PIN or confirm prompt (page 30).
Your greeting message is displayed if
activated (page 107).
The phone switches on automatically
when:
• you charge the phone via USB
or
• an alert or calendar event appears. If
you do not respond, the phone
switches off again. If you respond to
the alert, the PIN is required.
Entering the PIN
The SIM card can be protected with
a 4 to 8-digit PIN.

Select if phone should

power on when an alarm or
calendar event occurs while
off. This mode is useful in
hospitals or in aircraft, for
example.
