5 - 2 TMS60 Operator’s Manual
5.1 Introduction
The chapter describes how to admit a patient, change the patient category, enter and
exit the Standby mode, and discharge the patient.
5.2 Admitting a Patient
When using the TD60 for the first time, you should admit a patient at the Central Moni-
toring System (CMS). For details about admitting a patient through the CMS, refer to the
BeneVision Central Monitoring System Operator’s Manual .
After first admitting the patient at the CMS, you can directly admit next new patient at
the TD60 by discharging the current patient. Refer to
"Discharging the Patient" on page
5 - 4 for details.
5.3 Changing the Patient Category
1. In the main menu, tap Patient Info .
2. In the Patient Info menu, tap Patient Category to select the desired patient cate-
gory.
The screen displays the “Are you sure you want to change patient category?” mes-
sage.
3. Select Yes to confirm the changing.
The selected patient category displays to the right of Patient Category .
4. Tap the icon to save the settings and exit the Patient Info menu.

Select a correct patient category according to the patient’s condition
before monitoring begins.
