SELECTED ALTITUDE ALERTS
Visual and aural alerts are provided when the airplane approaches or
deviates from the selected altitude. When the airplane passes within
1000 FT and 200 FT of the selected altitude, the readout flashes and
changes color for about 5 seconds, and is accompanied by an aural
alert.

When the selected altitude is reached, the deviation band is acti-
vated. If the airplane flies outside the deviation band (±200 FT of the
selected altitude), the readout flashes and changes color for about 5
seconds, and is accompanied by an aural alert.

NOTE: Whenever the selected altitude is changed, altitude alert
and deviation band are reset.
