7. Configuration and Checkout
After completing installation, a complete installation checkout should be performed. Complete the
following sections to verify the installation is installed correctly. Prior to configuring the AeroNav XXX
unit, the following checks should be performed.
7.1 Wiring Check
Verify wiring is properly installed and secured. Verify the wiring does not interfere with the flight
controls. Verify all wiring connected to AeroNav XXX is connected correctly to the unit.
Caution:
Failure to properly connect aircraft wiring to the AeroNav 880/900 /780/800 may result in damage to
the AeroNav XXX or to the equipment connected to the AeroNav XXX.
7.2 Mounting Check
Verify the AeroNav XXX tray is securely installed to the airframe.
7.3 Chassis ID Setting
For dual AeroNav XXX installations, it is imperative that the proper Chassis ID settings are established
for each AeroNav via dip switches located along the right side of the AeroNav XXX outer chassis. Not
doing so will result in multiple error messages and degraded performance when two or more
AeroNavs are installed in an airplane.

At installation time, determine which AeroNav is to be designated as AeroNav #1 and which is to be
designated as AeroNav #2 (Note, there is no operational difference, This is a Databus address
assignment necessity). Set the side chassis ID dip switches per the table below:
