8-5. Converting the balance arm for left handed use
When converting the balance arm from right to left handed use, follow the procedures below.
1. Loosen the four M5 socket head screws (E) of the balance arm joint with the supplied 2.5mm Allen key.
2. Unscrew the M8x20 screws (D), both top and bottom. (Use a No.3 (big) Phillips head screwdriver.)
3. Remove both M6 bolts that hold the light pole and light pole joint together with the supplied 3mm Allen
key.
4. Detach the balance arm joint from the light pole joint.
5. Rotate the light pole joint 180 degrees, then screw both M6 bolts back in using the supplied 3mm Allen
key.
6. Place a metal washer on the end of the upper side of the light pole joint, and move the balance arm in place.
7. Loosely tighten both top and bottom M8x20 (D) screws.
8. Tighten both top and bottom M8x20 (D) screws, and adjust the lateral tension of the balance arm.
9. To ensure that the four M5 bolts (E) of the light pole joint do not inadvertently become loose, securely
tighten them using the supplied 2.5mm Allen key.
After adjustment, fasten the socket head screws.
Failure to do so may render the balance arm immobile or may damage the M8x20 screws.
