6 Configure the
Date and Time
, set the time reference for the multiviewer.

Select the appropriate time format for your location.
Time zone Select the appropriate time zone for your location.
PTP configuration This option must be enabled if this Kaleido - IP is meant to be
used with:
• SMPTE ST 2110-20 / -30 / -40 inputs.
• SMPTE ST 2110-20 output(s).
• Both SMPTE ST 2110-20 / -30 / -40 inputs and
SMPTE ST 2110-20 output(s).
Use this option also when your network has a PTP grandmaster.
Domain number (0-127): set the domain number for the PTP
grandmaster to be used. The PTP grandmaster must be on the
same domain as the Kaleido - IP.
Announce interval (sec):
sets the interval between PTP
announce messages on the active interface.
Announce receipt timeout count:
sets the number of PTP
intervals before a timeout occurs on the active interface.
Locked to PTP:
the connection status to the PTP grandmaster.
Green: The Kaleido - IP is locked to the PTP clock. Red: The
Kaleido - IP is unable to lock to the PTP clock.
Grand master: the PTP grandmaster clock’s identity.
Boundary clock:
the boundary clock’s identity.
Interfaces in use: the PTP protocol is currently enabled and
detected on these ports.
Restart PTP service to update interfaces: After adding a
network interface, click to restart the PTP service to refresh the
list of available interfaces.
Interface active:
the PTP protocol is currently active on this port.
Step: Shows the clock’s message type.
Average offset: the measured Kaleido - IP’s time offset (delay or
advance) with respect to the PTP grandmaster. The maximum
permitted operating offset is ±500 nanoseconds. This refreshes
every 30 seconds. When commissioning the Kaleido - IP, wait for
the offset to settle below 500 nanoseconds before proceeding.
