8.4 Behavior in case of a diagnostic overflow
If all the diagnostic blocks are populated with diagnoses, an overflow
message is sent in the last free diagnostic block.
In this case, new diagnoses can only be displayed in detail again if all active
diagnoses have become inactive or were acknowledged (Acknowledge
Mode) in the meantime.
The overflow diagnosis remains active until there are no longer any active
diagnoses in the system. Any remaining modules with diagnostics, whose
diagnostic information could not be reported via a diagnostic block, can be
viewed via the web server. Alternatively, these data can also be read
acyclically from the BusHead using Class ID 0x64 / instance 1 / attribute 1,
see chapter
“Acyclic services” on page 57 .
