8 Diagnostics processing
To facilitate troubleshooting, the BusHead supports comprehensive
diagnostics behavior. Signaling occurs through

LEDs on the BusHead, see chapter “LEDs” on page 62 ,

through the integrated web server and

coded as a block, which is appended to the cyclic data, see chapter “Input
data – Assembly instance 101” on page 45 . Each diagnostics block
represents one diagnostics message.
The diagnostics data of the LioN Link system are appended to the cyclic data
in 2 or 6 diagnostics blocks (2 or 6 individual diagnoses of 4 bytes each). If
more diagnoses occurred can be displayed, the last message to be displayed
is a diagnostics overflow.
Diagnostics configuration:

An overflow may be reported in the last diagnostics block. This is the case
if more than 1 or 5 diagnoses occur at the same time .
 In the default configuration, six diagnostics blocks are transferred using
the described handshake mechanisms Acknowledge/None-
Acknowledge.
 To reduce the data load in the cyclic data, you can change to only two
active diagnostic blocks via a parameter in the embedded web server.
