The "Network" section displays the network settings of the LAN interfaces.
6.5.2 Change IP-Configuration
This table gives you the option of changing the network settings for the two
LAN interfaces (Port 0 and Port 1).
 "IP-Address": If needed, you can use this input box to configure a different
IP address for the BusHead (IPv4).

Default setting:
192.168.1.1

"Subnet Mask": You can use this input box to configure the subnet mask
for the IPv4 network. In combination with the IP address, the subnet mask
defines which IP addresses are on your own network, and which are
accessible on other networks using a router.

Default setting:
255.255.255.0

"Gateway": You can use this input box to configure the IP address of the
device which will act as the interface to the Internet or a parent network.

Default setting:
0.0.0.0
(no interface defined)

"Method": You can use these options boxes to configure the address
assignment method:
– "Static": The BusHead uses the manually entered, static IP address.
– "DHCP": The BusHead retrieves its IP address automatically from a
DHCP server.
– "BOOTP": The BusHead retrieves its IP address automatically from a
boot server.

NOTE
The IP address can also be set using the hardware via the dial encoders,
for example, if the BusHead is inaccessible due to an incorrect network
configuration (see chapter
“IP address” on page 26 ).
