BPX Panel Page Navigation (LCD panel)
On a BPX panel, a crosspoint is selected with a button. This selects both a destination and a
source. (Compare to an XY panel, where a destination and a source are selected with
separate button presses.)
Using the Rotary Control
The easiest way to use the panel when only a small number of crosspoint pages are
configured is with the rotary control switch. The rotary control can be rotated in either
direction to navigate between pages of crosspoints. An advantage of using the rotary
control is that fewer page selection buttons are needed; therefore more buttons are
available for crosspoint selection.
Navigating to Crosspoints
To navigate sequentially through pages of crosspoints (destinations and sources):
• Use the Page Up and Page Down buttons.
Navigating to Pages
Crosspoint page navigation is done in a similar way. To navigate directly to a page:
1 Press the Page Selection button.
Each BPX (Crosspoint Selection) button displays a page number. For example, [1]...[12]:
2 Use the Page Up and Page Down buttons to view the next sequential block of pages.
For example, [13].....[24]. Navigate to the required page.
3 Press the relevant page selection button (for example ‘[13]’),.
All the crosspoints on that selected page are then shown on the buttons.
(Then select the crosspoint by pressing the BPX button.)
Note: Ensure the control panel is not locked before operating the panel.
Press the
Panel Lock/Unlock button to toggle between ‘Locked’ and
‘Unlocked’ panel states.
Note: Defining a Page Text button on the panel can help to identify each
page.
Note: Page navigation buttons only display on the panel if they have been
configured when setting up the panel.
