10 Start-up / Operating instructions
10.1 Intended use
Cold Rack and cooling units are complete counters with glazed open structure. These have been spe-
cially developed for mounting in food and dispensing counters for refrigerating and presenting pre-cooled
packaged and non-packaged food or drink e.g. sandwiches, salads, breakfast dishes etc. Cold and re-
frigerated food can be kept at temperatures b4°C to +12°C. The forced-air cooling is exclusively
designed to maintain the temperature of the presented products. The law prescribes the following val-
ues:
+
Switzerland
max. +5°C
+
Germany
max. +7°C
If food at room temperature is introduced into Cold Rack, you may not expect that these
products will be cooled to core temperatures below +10°C. Thus we kindly request you
to put only cold or pre-cooled food with a maximum temperature of + 5°C into the coun-
ter. Likewise, do not fill with too much products.
