Automatic drip-stop function
When the appliance is in use, the ■
glass jug (16) must be standing under
the filter compartment (21). The lid (17)
of the glass jug pushes the drip-stop
(19) upwards and the coffee can flow
from the filter and through the lid into
the glass jug.
The drip-stop prevents water from
■
leaking out of the filter when the glass
jug (16) is removed from the coffee
machine. The glass jug (16) may only
be taken out if the coffee machine for
a few seconds during operation, other-
wise the filter will overfill.
Brewing coffee
Open the lid (14) of the water tank.

Only fill the amount of water required
‹
for the desired number of cups.
Close the lid (14) of the water tank.
‹
Swivel out the filter compartment (21).
‹
Fill the permanent filter (18) with the
‹
desired amount of coffee powder.
Recommendation: 4-6 g per 150 ml.
Swivel in the filter compartment (21).
‹
Put the glass jug (16) with lid onto the
‹
the resting plate (15).
Press the
‹
button (27) to start brew-
ing. The power indicator lights up.
Roughly 1 minute after brewing has
‹
completed, you can remove the glass
jug (16) and pour coffee.
Cancelling the brewing process
Press the
‹
button (27) to cancel
brewing. The power indicator extin-
guishes.
Press the button again to restart brew-
‹
ing.
After brewing
Carry out the following after using the cof-
fee machine each time in order to retain
proper function of the appliance and pre-
vent mould from forming:
Press the
‹
button (27) to switch off
the coffee machine.
Allow the coffee machine to cool
‹
down.
Swivel out the filter compartment (21).
‹
Lift the permanent filter (18) out of the
‹
filter compartment (21).
Empty and clean the permanent filter
‹
(18).
Cleaning and maintenance
Before beginning any work, pay attention
to the safety instructions in the section
Safety instructions (page 17)

Clean the appliance after each use.

Pull the plug out of the mains socket
‹
and allow the appliance to cool down.
Wipe all parts of the appliance with a
‹
damp cloth.
Long slot toaster
Pull the crumb tray (20) out of the
‹
appliance, empty it and wipe it with a
paper cloth.
Kettle
Open the lid (4). Press the release
‹
button (5) for this purpose.
NOTE
► T he appliance switches itself off
automatically after 40 minutes.
