Cleaning the Work Surfaces

Clean all exposed working surfaces and covers that may have contacted sera or other 
biological fluids.

Exit Maintenance menu.

Remove reaction carousel cover (1) and sample carousel cover (2).

Use a good grade of disinfectant soap and a soft brush, scrub covers.

Rinse covers in deionized water. Dry thoroughly using lintless tissue.

Reinstall covers.

5

Wipe all exposed surfaces on the system (including sample rack area 
covers, pull down cover, compartment doors, keyboard, table surfaces and 
sides of console) with a 10% bleach solution (one part sodium hypochlorite 
5.25%, nine parts deionized water).

Wipe the touchscreen with 70% isopropanol, water, or any commercial 
computer screen cleaner.
