Selecting a Sample Type

Introduction

Sample Type is selected from a list which contains:

• Serum

• CSF

• Plasma

• Random Urine

• Timed Urine

The default Sample Type is defined in Setup and is initially displayed in the

Sample

Type

field.

Selecting a Sample Type

Follow the steps below to select a Sample Type.

Panel or Control Sample Type

If a panel or control is selected, the Sample Type defined for the panel or control will
automatically appear.

NOTICE

If a sample type is selected that is not applicable to specific chemistries, those
chemistries are unavailable and appear dimmed on the chemistry menu.
