3.6

Special geometries

Special geometries can be realized with the XTS system by using
the motor module with a length of 233 mm. Systems can be config-
ured in the shape of an L, U, O or Z by combining curved modules
with different radii and straight modules with different lengths. In this
way, the travel path of the movers can be adapted more flexibly to
the existing system.

The following figures show the possible module arrangements. The
positions of the 233 mm modules are marked in red.
