7-2-7 Sensor Monitor
7-2-7-1 From Service Test, press ENT and then MENU to access the six tests available. The fourth
displayed test, Sensor Monitor, is accessed by pressing ENT when this title appears (see Figure
7-4). If ESC is pressed, the Service Test menu appears. If MENU is pressed, the unit goes on to
the next test. Press ENT and display lists twelve sensor statuses:

The display above shows the order of sensors displayed from 1 to 12, which are:
1 = PH4 (Tube Sensor)
2 = PH9 (Photo STAT Sensor)
3 = PH1 (Return/In Feed Sensor)
4 = PH2 (In/Cross Feed Sensor)
5 = PH3 (Rack Sensor)
6 = PH5 (Cross/Out Feed Sensor)
7 = PH6 (Out/Return Feed Sensor)
8 = PH7 (End of Rack Marker Sensor)
9 = ORG1 (In Feed Assy. Origin Sensor)
10 = ORG2 (Cross Feed Home Sensor)
11 = ORG3 (Out Feed Assy. Origin Sensor)
12 = ORG4 (Return Feed Origin Sensor)
Displayed sensor status value is 0 or 1.
See Table 6-1 (page 6.12) and Table 7-1 (page 7.8) to find out what sensor statuses 0 and 1 mean.

7-2-7-2 The display is active, each sensor can be checked by moving objects in and out of a sensor.
Sensors PH1-3 and PH5-9 also contain an LED which turns on when an object is detected.
7-2-7-3 Note motors in this system are held active and do not permit the movement of assemblies with the
power on.
To exercise assemblies to test the sensors, unplug the motor cable from the motor to
permit moving the assemblies by hand with the power on.
To adjust all of the sensors, see pages 8.5 to 8.7.

0 = no tube was detected in the rack
1 = tube detected in rack at sensor PH4
