Functional principle 

 

 

 

The sensor works on the laser triangulation 
principle. By means of special optics, a laser 
beam is enlarged into a line and projected to the 
surface of the object to be measured. Using the 
multi-lens system, the reflected light from this 
laser line is projected onto a matrix. From this 
matrix image, a controller calculates the distance 
to every individual measuring point.  
The measuring value is calculated in accordance 
with the selected modus. Thanks to the factory 
calibration of the sensors, the output of the 
distance to the object is always in mm.
