Hazards for personnel, as well as damage, malfunc-
tions or a total failure can occur due to the use of incor-
rect or faulty replacement parts.

ment in the event of uncertainties.
Invalidation of the warranty
The warranty become null and void if unauthorized
replacement parts are used.
Replacement parts can be acquired from local contact partners or
direct from Baumer hhs. For contact information, see page 2.
2.17 Component-specific safety guidelines and residual risks of the Baumer
hhs system
Baumer hhs systems and components have been designed in
accordance with the latest state of technology and current safety
requirements. However, there may still be residual risks that neces-
sitate careful handling. The residual risks and the corresponding
behavior and measures required are listed below.

Sensor ULT 400 XL
The ULT 400 XL is a laser class 1 sensor. The laser radiation is
harmless.
As a result, there are no specific safety instructions or handling
instructions for the ULT 400 XL.
The classification of the ULT 400 XL sensor was carried out in
accordance with IEC EN 60825-1 (2001).
