6.7.3 Purging the cooling medium supply lines
The cooling pipe and, depending on the product, the receiver
receiver tempering
option) need to be cooled. This requires a
cooling medium. Cooling can take place
−
using the optional
chiller
−
externally by supplying cooling medium
If cooling takes place externally, the cooling medium supply lines
must be rinsed:
Purging the cooling medium supply
lines
1.
Close the system-side shut-off valve of the cooling medium
supply line.
2.
Open the screw connection of the cooling medium inlet
supply line (see page 72) slightly at first, when no more
cooling medium escapes, open it completely.
3.
Place a collection container (with a capacity of at least 5
liters) at the open, system-side end of the supply line for the
cooling medium.
4.
Open the system-side shut-off valve in the supply line
carefully and make sure that the cooling medium flows into
the collection container.
5.
Rinse the supply line with cooling medium until no more air
bubbles appear.
6.
Rinse the supply line for another 2 minutes. Make sure that
the collection container does not overflow.
7.
Close the system-side shut-off valve of the supply line.
8.
Connect the supply line to the cooling medium inlet again.
