Operation

8.2 Switching on
Preparation
Make sure that:
−
All safety equipment is installed and fully functional
(see page 129).
−
That the pressures and flow rates in the supply lines for
nitrogen and instrument air are set correctly.
−
That the analyzer is sufficiently supplied with cooling medium.
−
That the pressure and flow rate of the product supply line are
set correctly.

Procedure
•
Open the shut-off valve in the product supply line.
•
Switch on the power supply with the main switch.
The control box is purged with instrument air. This results in
considerable noises emissions. The pressure monitor displays
the remaining rinsing time.
During the purging phase, all electrical operating equipment
without its own ignition protection is voltage-free. The device is
not ready for operation.
After the purging phase, the control computer starts and the
touchscreen is ready for use shortly afterwards. The optionally
available chiller and trace heaters are switched on.
The operating system, the PACS process software and other
applications start.
In normal operation the device starts measuring automatically
with the configuration and operating mode last set.
