NOTICE

2 AUXILIARY HEATER SHUT-OFF VALVES
The heater valves are located behind the cab next to the LH swing drive and above the hydraulic

pumps accessed from the gull wing.

There are also valves in these same areas on the engine for the cab heat. The

operator should be aware to avoid any confusion between the valves.

The

Proheat valves are ball valves and the cab heat valves are gate valves.

2.1 Front (Fig-2) and Rear (Fig-3) Shut-Oﬀ Valve locations.

See the photos below for the locations of the Proheat Shut-Oﬀ Valves.

Valves are shown OPEN.

2.2 Cold and Warm Weather Valve Positions

The shut-oﬀ valves on the engine control the ﬂow of hot engine coolant that is being circulated and heated

by the Pro-Heat heater through heating tubes that are internal in the hydraulic tank.

In the cold winter months it is advised to leave the heater function valves in the open

position.

This will allow the heater (when turned on) to heat the coolant resulting in the engine and

hydraulic oil be heated.

In the warm summer months the heater will not be used, so the heater valves should be

turned to the closed position.

This will cause the coolant to bypass the heater circuit and return

through the normal engine coolant circuit.
