Where two projectors or more are installed close to each other, ensure that the projectors do not thermally
affect each other.
Dew point
The dew point is the saturation temperature for water in air. The dew point is associated with
relative humidity. A high relative humidity implies that the dew point is closer to the current air
temperature. Relative humidity of 100% indicates the dew point is equal to the current temperature
and that the air is maximally saturated with water. When the moisture content remains constant and
temperature increases, relative humidity decreases.
Condensed water drain requirements
The projector is equipped with air dryers to remove moisture from the sealed compartments. The condensed
water collected by the air dryers is removed from the projector through small drain tubes at the bottom of the
projector. It's most efficient and recommended to guide the small drain tubes directly to a water drain.
•
A vertical air gap fitting must be installed between the small drain tubes and the building drain! Note that
the end of the small drain tubes must be in free air (not airtight taped off) to prevent back flow.
•
The minimum downwards slope over the whole length of the small drain tubes is 15 cm per meter (1.8 inch
per foot). It's recommended to guide the small drain tubes vertically for optimal flow. Clogging is often the
result of improper slope (sloping uphill).
•
The maximum allowed length of the small drain tubes (Ø8 mm) before ending into the water drain is 2.5
meter (8 feet).
•
If no water drain is available then an 'open' water container can be installed to capture the condensed
water coming out of the small drain tubes. The volume of the water container depends on the humidity
level of the operation environment. In most applications a water container with a volume of 5 liter should be
sufficient if emptied regularly.
Main Power requirements
The XDL series projector operates from a nominal 3W +N +PE or 3W +PE power net. The projector must be
switched internally between a star connection to a delta connection or vice versa. See installation instructions.
•
Electrical ratings for Star system (3W+N+PE):
-
The cross-sectional area of the conductors in the power supply cord shall be 4 mm
2
to 6 mm
2
, 10 AWG
to 8 AWG.
-
The electrical rating of the XDL-4K60/75 projector is 200-240V/346-415V 3W+N+PE 16A 50-60Hz (Y
connection).
-
The electrical rating of the XDL-4K30 projector is 200-240V/346-415V 3W+N+PE 10A 50-60Hz (Y
connection).
