9.2 Acuras Realignment
Acuras Realignment
Executing Realignment restores the colors and brightness of the system to the values measured at Capture time. If the brightness
and/or can not be restored because a projector dimmer reaches 100%, Acuras Realignment returns an error message, indicating
that the original colors and brightness can not be restored.
It is strongly advised to store Golden Alignment sets of the system at different brightness levels, e.g. with average dimmer positions
at 40%, 60% 75%. When Acuras Realignment can no longer restore the light output of a particular Golden Alignment with highest
brightness, one has the option to choose for a slightly dimmer Golden Alignment. Projector lamp replacement allows the user to
reuse the brighter Golden Alignment again. It is the user’s responsibility to store such Golden Alignments and run Capture on each
one individually.
Acuras Realignment is done on an as-needed basis to maintain an optimal visual display. A user can choose between fast realign-
ment (Simple Acuras) and advanced alignment (Advanced Acuras). In an advanced realignment some steps are added.
• Gray level correction: restore the grey level tracking of the projector.
• Multi-point Acuras: restore the projector white uniformity to an initial measured uniformity.
The following Acuras Realignment operations are possible:
• Simple Acuras: uncheck both Mult-point Acuras and Perform Gray Level Correction check boxes. It will only perform the
single point Acuras realignment.
