5. Troubleshooting
Code 8000: “Opening shutter failed” (Error)
Situation Solution
Malfunction DC motor of the shutter
assembly. Replace the shutter assembly. See "Replacement of the shutter", page 202.
Malfunction end-loop switch of the
shutter assembly. Replace the shutter assembly. See "Replacement of the shutter", page 202.
Code 8001: “Closing shutter failed” (Error)
Situation Solution
Malfunction DC motor of the shutter
assembly. Replace the shutter assembly. See "Replacement of the shutter", page 202.
Malfunction end-loop switch of the
shutter assembly. Replace the shutter assembly. See "Replacement of the shutter", page 202.
Code 8101: “Motor board calibration” (Error)
Situation Solution
Calibration of one of the motorized
ranges failed (Vertical Shift,
Horizontal Shift, Zoom, Focus,
Shutter and Contrast Plate)
1. Check the wiring and end-loop switches of all DC & stepper motors (Vertical Shift,
Horizontal Shift, Zoom, Focus, Shutter and Contrast Plate).
2. Check if the latest fi rmware and software of the Motor Control Board is installed.
3. Replace malfunction DC and/or stepper motors.
4. Replace the Motor Control Board. See "Replacing the motor control board (MCB)",
page 283.
Code 8102: “Horizontal lens shift end of range” (Warning)
Situation Solution
Horizontal Lens Shift not calibrated. Calibrate the Horizontal Lens Shift.
End-loop switch disconnected. Check the wiring of the two end-loop switches of the Horizontal Shift.
Malfunction end-loop switch. Check the two end-loop switches and replace if necessary.
Corrupt fi rmware/software. Reload the latest fi rmware and software version of the Motor Control Board.
Malfunction Motor Control Board. Check the diagnostic LEDs of the Motor Control Board. Replace the Motor Control Board
if necessary. See "Replacing the motor control board (MCB)", page 283.
Code 8103: “Horizontal lens shift end of range” (Error)
This error code is probably preceded by the warning code 8103: “Horizontal lens shift end of range”. The same troubleshooting
table can be applied to.
Code 8104: “Vertical lens shift end of range” (Warning)
Situation Solution
Vertical Lens Shift not calibrated. Calibrate the Vertical Lens Shift.
End-loop switch disconnected. Check the wiring of the two end-loop switches of the Vertical Shift.
Malfunction end-loop switch. Check the two end-loop switches and replace if necessary.
Corrupt fi rmware/software. Reload the latest fi rmware and software version of the Motor Control Board.
