1.5 Proper usage
Proper usage of FLX products
• No part of the FLX products can come in contact with any type of abrasive.
• No part of the FLX products can come in contact with any type of corrosive substance.
• FLX products are to be used in environments meeting the operating speci fi cations.
• FLX products are not to be exposed to extreme localized heat or cold exceeding the temperature speci fi cations.
• FLX products are not to be exposed to any element or situation that will cause any part of the display to heat beyond what occurs
during normal operation. Such situations include but are not limited to lasers, ultrasonic vibration, or any type of substance that
prevents proper ventilation and heat radiation of the FLX products.
• Power connected to the FLX products must meet the speci fi cations outlined in the installation manual.
• Never place an FLX-24 pixel upon a surface with the LED’s side facing downwards. This to prevent damage.
• No force can be applied to the LED’s. Any LED’s damaged due to mechanical stress are not covered by the warranty.
• Safety and functional features of the FLX-24 pixels cannot be defeated.
• Any failures must be immediately and appropriately dealt with (equipment returned to Barco?). Failing equipment cannot be
left to run in an FLX display.
• Only Barco cables speci fi ed to be used with the FLX products are to be used to connect components in an FLX display. Further,
care must be taken to connect signal only according to the installation manual.
• FLX products are not to be used in the vicinity of any equipment that is not CE and UL/ETL certi fi ed.
• FLX products are not to be transported for any distance in containers other than Barco FLX fl ight cases or Barco FLX single
unit packaging. Further, even the use of Barco fl ight cases or packaging material does not guarantee the FLX products against
damage due to excessive force of impacts.
• FLX products are not to be connected to any non-Barco equipment.
• FLX products can be cleaned only in accordance to the procedures de fi ned in the installation manual.
