Example program

A function module can illustrate access from a program. In

line 4 the position value is copied from the peripheral

memory using pointer access. Here the variable

Position_01 was created in the standard variable table as

DInt with address %ID168. The address is 4 bytes over the

I-address previously assigned to the standard telegram 81.

In line 15 the error value 16#7FFFFFFF is checked for.

In addition to this evaluation the other

diagnostics mechanisms available in the PLC

should be used to detect any errors and place

the machine in a safe state when a fault

condition arises.

The remainder of the program example is simple variable

operations which do not need further explanation here.
