7.11 System Monitor
7.11.1 Description
The System Monitor signalizes the correct behaviour of the
BCM. The function enables collecting information about
the type of failure.
The possible error status can be checked on process data
as an alarm bit and by ISDU. If there is an error, the LED
turns to red continuously.
Possible failures:
–
Acceleration Sensor Error
– Internal Temperature Sensor Error
– Signal Processing Error
– Signal Quality Error (e. g. filter settling time)

System Status Actual
The System Status Actual shows the result of the System
Monitor function. It can be used without any restriction. If
an error is detected, the LED turns red. All bits are reset by
power-on reset or any reset of system/production mode
commands.
Bit 0: Set if Acceleration Sensor Error is detected.
Cleared if Acceleration Sensor Error is not
detected.
Bit 1: Set if
Internal Temperature Sensor Error
is
detected.
Cleared if Internal Temperature Sensor Error is not
detected.
Bit 2: Set if Signal Processing Error is detected.
Cleared if Signal Processing Error is not detected.
Bit 3: Set if Signal Quality Error is detected.
