of exception reports, and for the backup NPM module to
assume control. All test configurations are balanced in that
both nodes import and export the same numbers and types of
exception reports. Local time values represent the time
required by the backup NPM module in a redundant interface
node to recognize a primary NPM module failure, receive the
indicated number of exception reports from and send the indi-
cated number of exception reports to the nonredundant inter-
face node, and to assume control. Remote time values
represent the time required by the nonredundant NPM module
to transmit all exception reports to and receive all exception
reports from the redundant NPM module following a primary
NPM module failure. The remote time values correspond
roughly to the time required by the redundant interface node
to export all of the configured exception reports following a
warm failover.
RESTRICTIONS
The following INFI-NET communication modules support the
warm failover feature and recognize the warm failover node
on-line broadcast message:
•
INNPM11 Network Processing Module firmware revision
C_0 or later.
•
NSBM01 Superloop Bus Module firmware revision D_0 or
later.
The following INFI-NET communication modules recognize the
warm failover on-line broadcast message:
•
INICT01 INFI-NET to Computer Transfer Module firmware
revision F_0 or later.
•
INICT03 INFI-NET to Computer Transfer Module firmware
revision C_0 or later.
•
IIMCP01 Multibus Communication Processor Module with
IIIST01 firmware revision E_0 or later.
