DC Power Test

Purpose/Scope

This procedure explains how to check the DC power supplies.

Parts

None.

Tools

•

Digital multimeter (DMM).

Safety Considerations

Procedure

□

1. Switch the on/off switch to the OFF position.

NOTE: Do not disconnect power wiring from the multibus card cage for the
console model.

□

2. Label and disconnect the DC power distribution cables
from all peripheral devices (disconnect the cables at the distri-
bution end).

□

3. Make certain the power line cord for he power supply is
plugged into the PEP (keyboard interface assembly for the table
top model).

□

4. Insure that all power wiring is correct.

□

5. Switch the on/off switch to the ON position.

□

6. Use the DMM to measure the DC voltages at the multibus
card cage backplane for the console model (Fig.

PR15-1

) and at

P16 on the IIMKM02A module for all other models.
