1.0.8 Particular precautions

• Do not use this product for purposes other than those for which it is intended.
• To avoid electric shock, observe the following precautions when working with dangerous volt-
ages:
• Before using the recording device, make sure that the instrument and the equipment required
for its use (measuring lead, external box, accessories...) are in working order. Check cables
for damage.

The instrument may only be used within the specified measuring ranges.
◦ The instrument may only be used in the measurement circuit category for which it has
been designed.
◦ The instrument complies with EMC EN 61326. Otherwise, in rare cases, it may happen
that an electrical device is disturbed by the electrical field of the instrument, or that the
instrument is disturbed by an electrical device.
◦ The instrument may only be operated by qualified personnel.
◦
The test leads used to connect the instrument to the test points must comply with the
standard.
◦
To avoid the risk of shock, do not connect or disconnect measuring leads when they are
connected to a source of electrical voltage.
◦
Safety is no longer guaranteed if the instrument is modified or tampered with.
◦
Do not place heavy objects on the instrument.
◦
Do not block the flow of cooling air to the instrument.
◦ Do not place a hot soldering iron on the instrument.
◦ Do not pull on the instrument with the power cord or measuring leads connected.
Safety is not guaranteed in these cases, for example :
• Damage to the instrument
• After dropping the instrument
• Instrument measurements/tests that cannot be performed
• Unfavorable conditions over an extended period
• Damage during transport
• Battery leak
