3-2 : Items of periodic maintenance check

Verification of functions

• With the device installed on process equipment, run a functional check with water

filled in chamber (or, use water in lieu of process fluid) by varying water level.

Or, remove the main body and run a functional check by calibrating weight.

•

If specified accuracy is not achieved, perform following maintenance checks.

~Note

The guaranteed accuracy of SLX is by means of weight calibration.

Disassembly and cleaning of wetted parts

If rated accuracy is not achieved by a test as described in 1) above, or if the measured

fluid is of high viscosity, adhesive or extremely corrosive, disassemble/clean as

follows:

For description/nomenclature of parts, refer to “Names of components and parts” on

page 1-1, “Principles of operation” on page 2-1 and drawings at the end of this

manual.

Primary disassembly/cleaning (when inside of torque tube housing

is not cleaned)

• If there is no deposit inside of the torque tube housing or on the knife-edge pivot,

primary disassembly/cleaning is recommended.

•

Disassemble SLX into two or three parts and clean in the following order:

External tube type : Body, float and chamber

Internal tube type : Body and float
