Reset system or hardware
You can reset cameras, system controllers, or the entire body worn system, to factory default settings.
Reset camera
To reset a camera to factory default settings, remove it from the body worn system, see

You can reset an extension system controller to factory default settings by removing it from the body worn system, see
If you can’t access the body worn system through AXIS Body Worn Manager, you can reset each extension system controller by
accessing them separately:
1. Access the extension system controller.
2. Open the context menu

The backup extension system controller can’t be reset to factory default settings.
Reset system
Important
• Never remove or reset the content destination before resetting the body worn system. Always reset the body worn system
first. If you remove or reset the content destination first, recordings can remain on cameras or in the system controllers,
preventing you from resetting the body worn system. This is a security feature ensuring that all evidence is uploaded
to the content destination.
• Never remove cameras or users in the content destination before they’re removed in AXIS Body Worn Manager.
To reset the entire body worn system to factory default settings:
1. Remove all cameras, see

2. If possible, disable the corresponding cameras in the content destination.
3. Remove all extension system controllers, see
