3.11. EP Diagnosis (Config:Diag)
The diagnosis is running on IPv4 network, please first assign the same IP net for NMU, Master, and EP
individually. Proceed to click on each EP’s ‘Config’ button on the ‘Devices’ Window, then click on ‘Measure’
button in the ‘Diag’ Window to run the built-in on-line diagnostic tool.
On-line Diagnosis – between Master and EP
Diagnose the physical connection quality. Measure the connection factors ‘SNR’, ‘CFR’ and ‘PE’ between
targeted EP and Master without interrupting service,
Up: Upstream, EP toward Master direction
Dn: Downstream, Master toward EP direction
SNR: Signal to Noise Ratio, frequency vs dB
CFR: Channel Frequency Response, frequency vs dB
PE: Payload Encoding states line/carrier speed between Master and EP
