Introduction
This manual describes how to start up hand sets and configure corresponding
extension number.
Extension numbers
VAKA with C10 supports up to 400 unique extension numbers (100-500). VAKA's
extension number is 99.
It is advantageous to keep track of Gigaset base stations and hand sets in VAKA.
Axema recommends that the first number corresponds to a stairwell or building,
the second number to the floor number and the third number to the apartment.
Multiple base stations
If multiple base stations are installed they require a unique IP address. Configure
one bass station and associated hand sets at a time. Document the installation in
any system to differentiate the devices, for example:

Registering a hand set
1.
Supply power
to the base station by PoE or traf.
2. Power up the hand set by holding the
red phone button
for
two
seconds
. If the hand set does not power up, it requires charging.
3. Press the
big middle button
to enter the menu.
4. Select
Settings - Registering - Register hand set - OK. Wait for the base
station to show up.
5. Select the base station and
hold
the
blue button
until
Enter system PIN
