7.2 Configuring FRITZ!Box Fon by Phone
Saving New Settings
In this section, saving refers to all current settings. It is not
necessary to save the configuration after each setting is
made. You may first configure all of your FRITZ!Box Fon’s set-
tings as desired, and then save them permanently.
Saving Permanently
Permanent saving cannot be reversed. However, you can re-
set the PBX to its factory settings or program it with different
settings.
Specifying the Outside Dialing Mode
Automatic outside dialing can be enabled or disabled for
each extension. When automatic outside dialing is set, the
dial tone sounds as soon as you lift the handset. If the exten-
sion is set to internal dialing, the dial tone will not sound
until after you dial “0”.
Enabling Automatic Outside Dialing
