Satellite list

Main Window → View → Satellite List 

Level  4 

 
When the satellite list is viewed with the TLE module installed on the AAQ controller, the list will include a pre-installed 
set of satellites which include TLE data sets. Additional satellite data may be found at the following location and should 
be updated regularly: 

http://www.celestrak.com/NORAD/elements/ 

Right click on the “Geostationary” link and select “Save Link As.” Save the resulting “geo.txt” file where it can be found 
for later upload to the antenna. 

Alternately, open the “Geostationary” link and copy the contents into a text file. 

Any changes to the format of the text 

file will cause the upload to fail (this includes adding spaces or line feeds).

 

A user can create their own TLE data file for upload to the Satellite List as long as it exactly follows the format of the 
TLE data file found above. 

Note:  Satellites will have to be reselected for use in the Satellite List and in the Target Configuration after a TLE data 
file has been uploaded and all changes must be saved.
