If the user requests customization of the router the tool provides the following screen for the user to enter their
values.

The form lets the user set the LAN and WAN interfaces. The LAN is described as the controller’s network as it is
plugged into the AAQ port of the CIP. The WAN is described as the customer’s network and is plugged into the WAN
port of the CIP. A “Set to Default CIP Router Configuration” button is available to fill out the page with the same
default values shown in Figure 56.
Note: To enable a choice the associated checkbox must be checked.

Controller Network Setup (LAN)
The LAN should include all equipment that the controller needs to communicate with. There should be no gateway or
firewall protection. All external devices need to be connected to the WAN port, please consult your device’s manual
to see if your device contains routing functionality. The router can be configured to have the following:
