AAQ CIP Router Updater Tool Operation Guide
This portion of the document describes the use of the CIP (Control Interface Panel) Router Configuration Update Tool.
This Application is designed to customize the router interface to customer network equipment. The Updater Tool will
only communicate with new type CIP units that incorporate built in router function.
Required equipment
Computer connected to AAQ with Ethernet and running CIP Router Tool App. Rev. 2.7

The different functions of the Update tool are described with respect to the individual sub-panes:
Router Update – This changes the functionality of the Ethernet Router within the CIP.
Display Update – This updates the display of the CIP Display or Handheld to allow for communication to the
controller. This function is used for Field Updates Only.
POE Update - Updates the POE (Power Over Ethernet) capabilities to ensure the Ethernet Router will auto-sense
and apply power only when necessary. This function is used for Field Updates Only.
