Configuring Network Interfaces
The DMNG PRO has three network interfaces: two Ethernet interfaces and a built-in WiFi
modem. From the NETWORK tab, you can configure each network interface independently.
Ethernet Interfaces Configuration Modes
The DMNG PRO offers three different network configuration modes for the Ethernet
interfaces: one static mode and two dynamic modes. The table below explains each network
configuration mode.
STATIC mode
To configure a network interface in STATIC mode, you have to enter a
static IP address, a subnet mask and a gateway.
Note
: Configuring in static mode requires that you are
administrator of your network.
DHCP mode
To configure a network interface in DHCP mode, you have to connect the
DMNG PRO to a broadcast domain that has a
, i.e. a router
or an ADSL box.
The DHCP mode is the easiest way to configure network interfaces since
the DMNG PRO automatically receives its parameters from the network.
This is the default configuration for the ETH1 interface.
GATEWAY mode
In this case, the DMNG PRO acts as a DHCP server. It automatically de-
tects from the Netmask field the IP addresses range that it can use for
assigning an IP address to the connected host. The DMNG PRO then as-
signs an IP address to the equipment connected.
This is the best configuration mode to perform the setup configuration
since you do not need to enter any IP address.
This is the default configuration for the ETH2 interface.
The default IP address for Ethernet 2 is 192.168.10.10.
