E1070 Service Manual

Using the Menus

Pushbutton tare

If you enable this item (

on

), you can use the 

TARE

 key to tare a 

weight from the scale. If you disable (

oFF

) this item, you cannot 

tare using the 

TARE

 key.

Enter tare

If you enable this item (

on

), you then choose between 

rnd

 

(rounded tare) and 

unrnd

 (unrounded tare). When enabled you 

can enter a known tare weight by keying in a weight and pressing 
the 

TARE

 key. If set to 

rnd

 the entered tare value is rounded to 

the division size. If set to 

unrnd

 the entered tare value is not 

rounded to the division size.

Automatic Tare

If you enable this item (

on

), the indicator automatically tares off 

any weight on the scale when the weight is both above a 
configurable threshold and stable.

EnAbLE

 Enable or Disable the auto-tare feature. Default is 

oFF

.

Lo

Numeric entry, as a percentage of capacity, to set the 
low threshold limit.  

Hi

Numeric entry, as a percentage of capacity, to set the 
High threshold limit.  

The Lo and Hi two settings are the lower and upper thresholds that 
define the auto-tare window.  

When the net weight on the scale is above the lower threshold and 
below the upper threshold and the delay has expired and the 
weight is stable, an automatic tare is triggered.

Setting the lower or upper limit to zero disables this automatic tare 
feature. The indicator can be set up to clear the tare when the 
gross weight returns to with the Gross Zero Band.

A-Prnt

If enabled, a print will occur whenever an automatic tare 
is done. The “formats-to-print” setting for the current 
application determines what print formats are set (the 
same formats will be printed when the print key is 
pressed).

dELAY

Entered in seconds, this defines the amount of time 
after the weight falls into the auto-tare window until an 
auto-tare is done.

Follow these steps to set the tare item:

PRINT

CLEAr

 is displayed.

3.

Press the 

PRINT

 key…

on

 or 

oFF

 is displayed. Use this to enable or disable the Clear tare item.

The print formats are completed before the automatic tare is done.  Therefore, if net 
weight is printed in the print format(s) it will not be zero.
