There are two ways to s pec ify s pec ial c harac ters in batc h data:

Plac e a tilde (~) before eac h c harac ter
♦
Us e a tilde with the dec im al ASCII equivalent
For exam ple, us e “” or ~034 to print the “ c harac ter in the batc h data; otherwis e, the tilde
c harac ters are ignored. You c an als o us e ~XXX where XXX is the dec im al equivalent of an
unprintable c harac ter.

Download the form at and batc h data us ing one of three m ethods : s equential, batc h, and batc h
quantity z ero.
Sequential Method
Us ing the s equential m ethod, s end all form at and batc h data at one tim e. Us e this m ethod when
the applic ation does not require operator intervention to input data. All data is s ent down at one
tim e, and the printer then im ages eac h field. As s oon as the las t field is im aged, labels begin to
print.

Batch Method
This is s im ilar to the s equential m ethod, but it is us ed to s end m ultiple batc hes . All data for the
firs t batc h is s ent at one tim e, and the printer then im ages eac h field. As s oon as the las t field for
the firs t batc h is im aged, labels begin to print. This proc es s is repeated for eac h s ubs equent
batc h.

Batch Quantity Zero Method
Us e the batc h quantity z ero m ethod when the applic ation requires operator intervention to enter
data. W hile the operator is entering data, the previous field is s ent with a batc h quantity of z ero.
The printer im ages the field, but does not print it. After the operator enters the data for the las t
field, the batc h quantity c an be s pec ified. The las t rem aining field is im aged, and the label prints
alm os t im m ediately.
