Description

Identifies the next hop in the route.

VLAN

Identifies the VLAN ID on the route.

PORT

Specifies the ports.

PROT

Specifies the routing protocols. For static routes, options
are LOC (local route) or STAT (static route).

TYPE

Indicates the type of route as described by the Type
Legend on the CLI screen.

PRF

Specifies the route preference.

Configuring a management route

About this task

Use this procedure to create a management route to the far end network, with a next-hop IP

address from the management VLAN’s subnet. A maximum of 4 management routes can be

configured on the switch.

Prerequisites

• Enable IP routing globally
• Enable IP routing and configure an IP address on the management VLAN interface.

Procedure

To configure a static management route, enter the following from the Global
Configuration command mode:

[no] ip mgmt route <dest-ip><mask><next-hop>
